Competing at the highest level of triathlon since the age of 16, with numerous Ironman 70.3 victories and having won the first full distance Ironman he ever entered in Wisconsin, Aussie veteran Joe Gambles is already one of triathlon’s greats, at just 29-years of age. Gambles is a smart, business-minded athlete with a serious side, whose analytical thinking has played a massive role in his success in triathlon. With a great sense of humor, he enjoys a good laugh, and is often seen joking with his fellow athletes in transition before races. The media and fans have dubbed Gambles, “Smokin Joe” as he packs some major heat, with a power-house bike-to-run combination that makes him a threat for the win every time he lines up.
